Part two addresses the second set of Scriptures read at Shavuot. My initial temptation was to look up commentary on these powerful words of description of the spiritual realm. However in the first article I encouraged all of us to press into the Lord for the out pouring of His spirit to be an integral part of our every day lives. So I decided to sit before the Lord and hear His commentary. I encourage you to do the same. The following is what I have gleaned from these passages. I would love to hear what Father says to you also. Remember we are a body with many gifts and diverse backgrounds. As we share we not only come to a greater fullness of understanding but we become a community. The beauty of becoming a community is that not only can we learn from each other by expanding our understanding we have the opportunity to have our understanding corrected if need be.

The scripture reading is Ezekiel 1:1-28 and 3:12 . Please remember as you read my commentary this is my revelation from the Lord as I inquire about a fuller understanding of His outpouring on Shavuot. It is to be judged by the word and may be different than what Father shows you.

I have chosen to start at Ezekiel 1:4

[4] As I looked, behold, a storm wind was coming from the north, a great cloud with fire flashing forth continually and a bright light around it, and in its midst something like glowing metal in the midst of the fire.

V(4) That verse seems similar to the account of the Lord’s presence on Mount Sinai.

[5] Within it there were figures resembling four living beings. And this was their appearance: they had human form.

V(5)The first thought that comes to me as I read they had human form is that God was announcing the intimacy He desires of our being one with Him in spirit.

[6] Each of them had four faces and four wings. [7] Their legs were straight and their feet were like a calf’s hoof, and they gleamed like burnished bronze. [8] Under their wings on their four sides were human hands. As for the faces and wings of the four of them, [9] their wings touched one another; their faces did not turn when they moved, each went straight forward. [10] As for the form of their faces, each had the face of a man; all four had the face of a lion on the right and the face of a bull on the left, and all four had the face of an eagle. [11] Such were their faces. Their wings were spread out above; each had two touching another being, and two covering their bodies.

(v7)The word tells us the calf’s are in the category of clean animals perhaps that symbolism is the clean straight walk of those in tune with the Spirit of God.

(v9) That their faces did not turn when moved but went straight forward brought to mind that Yeshua’s face was set like flint to His call in Jerusalem and so should ours be to the destiny God created us for.

(v10) Could the four faces be the character of God He desires for us? The Human face; in complete unison with Yeshua the Lion of Judah. The bull could symbolize the work to build the kingdom but also the sacrifice of the flesh (burnt offering necessary) to be in unity with the Lord’s Spirit. Lastly the Eagle which I know to be a type of the Prophetic so we might see as God sees and hear His word. I am also reminded of the scripture in Isaiah 30:21 which speaks to the word behind us as the Eagle is behind the face of the man.

· Isa.30:[21] Your ears will hear a word behind you, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left.

(11) When I read of the wings in this passage I think of Psalm 91

  • [91:1] He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. [2] I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!” [3] For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper And from the deadly pestilence. [4] He will cover you with His pinions, And under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.

Now I understand that the wings here are on the creatures. However when I read that they reach above and cover their body and that they are indeed in the presence of Almighty God I see the symbolism of the His shelter for those who abide in His shadow. They key word to that Psalm and all of the promises it provides is the word abide.

[12] And each went straight forward; wherever the spirit was about to go, they would go, without turning as they went.

(v12)Again here the picture is moving only as the Spirit directs without turning setting their course straight.

[13] In the midst of the living beings there was something that looked like burning coals of fire, like torches darting back and forth among the living beings. The fire was bright, and lightning was flashing from the fire. [14] And the living beings ran to and fro like bolts of lightning.

(v13) The first thought that came to me was when in Gen.15 God cut a covenant with Abraham and put him to sleep as God Himself walked through the two halves of bloody sacrifice as smoking oven and flaming torch. That convent would be full filled by God in the human form of Yeshua on the cross of Calvary. It speaks to me that in our midst will always be the proof of our Covenant keeping God.

The second scripture that comes to mind was in Isaiah

· Isaiah 6:[6] Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal in his hand, which he had taken from the altar with tongs.[7] He touched my mouth with it and said, “Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away and your sin is forgiven.”

· Isaiah’s Commission

· [8] Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

Was not Shavuot our commissioning to be Holy and a Kingdom of Priests to the nations; at Mt Sinai and the out pouring of His spirit on the day of Pentecost?

[15] Now as I looked at the living beings, behold, there was one wheel on the earth beside the living beings, for each of the four of them. [16] The appearance of the wheels and their workmanship was like sparkling beryl, and all four of them had the same form, their appearance and workmanship being as if one wheel were within another. [17] Whenever they moved, they moved in any of their four directions without turning as they moved. [18] As for their rims they were lofty and awesome, and the rims of all four of them were full of eyes round about. [19] Whenever the living beings moved, the wheels moved with them. And whenever the living beings rose from the earth, the wheels rose also.[20] Wherever the spirit was about to go, they would go in that direction. And the wheels rose close beside them; for the spirit of the living beings was in the wheels. [21] Whenever those went, these went; and whenever those stood still, these stood still. And whenever those rose from the earth, the wheels rose close beside them; for the spirit of the living beings was in the wheels.

(v 15-21) The fact that the description of the wheels start on the earth confirm in my spirit that Father is talking with me about us His bride. The living creature’s very spirit is in these perfectly round clear wheels with eyes all around. That speaks to me of clear perfect/complete revelation. In Him we live and move and have our being. Acts 17:28

[22] Now over the heads of the living beings there was something like an expanse, like the awesome gleam of crystal, spread out over their heads. [23] Under the expanse their wings were stretched out straight, one toward the other; each one also had two wings covering its body on the one side and on the other. [24] I also heard the sound of their wings like the sound of abundant waters as they went, like the voice of the Almighty, a sound of tumult like the sound of an army camp; whenever they stood still, they dropped their wings. [25] And there came a voice from above the expanse that was over their heads; whenever they stood still, they dropped their wings.

(V22-25) Can you see here again how the wings can speak to us of the Father for their sound is that of abundant water like the voice of the Almighty? Along with His voice the sound of an army. Are we not to be one with Him the army of God working with Yeshua the Lord of the Angles Armies the Lord of Hosts.

[26] Now above the expanse that was over their heads there was something resembling a throne, like lapis lazuli in appearance; and on that which resembled a throne, high up, was a figure with the appearance of a man. [27] Then I noticed from the appearance of His loins and upward something like glowing metal that looked like fire all around within it, and from the appearance of His loins and downward I saw something like fire; and there was a radiance around Him.

(V26-27) Colossians1 tells us

· [15] He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.[16] For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.[17] And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.[18] And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

Where every we see the manifestation of God the Spirit in the word we see Yeshua. Above us on the throne is our Redeemer King. Manifesting His Glory for our confidence in Him who loved us from before the foundation of this earth.

[28] As the appearance of the rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the surrounding radiance. Such was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell on my face and heard a voice speaking.

V28 Surrounding Him always the sign of the covenant of promises. All the promises of His covenant within in the word which was sealed in blood at Sinai affirmed in blood at the cross put into our hearts according to Jeremiah 31 that we might know Him on the day of Pentecost.

Ezk.3:[12] Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard a great rumbling sound behind me, “Blessed be the glory of the LORD in His place.”

My sincere prayer is that the Lord grants us the gift of repentance as we the Bride

make ourselves ready for the celebration of a fresh Outpouring of His Spirit this Shavuot.

And the Spirit and the Bride say COME!!!!!
