“Worship God in the splendor (beauty) of His holiness, tremble before Him all the earth”. Psalm 96:6 (NIV) Worship is not a new concept to the body of believers. All creation was fashioned and designed to worship the One who is greater than the believer and worthy of their praise and adoration. Our heavenly Father has always desired to have an intimate relationship with his children. We catch a glimpse of His heart’s desire to draw closer and commune with his children in (Exodus 8:1 MB). “God said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and tell him God’s Message: “Release my people so they can worship me.” He longed to invite them close to Him in that place of oneness, where they could experience His loving presence.

So why do we worship God and often feel that tug within our spirit to express our love and adoration to him? Worship comes naturally when we understand that the foundation of all worship is the great love of the Father, love responding to love. True worship shifts our attention from ourselves, the cares of this world and creates an atmosphere of gratitude and thanksgiving for God to inhabit our praise. As we worship and exalt God heaven invades earth and invited us into His world and Him into our world. God’s presence and overwhelming love envelopes us, which in turn allows Him to unlock His blessings of miracles, healing ,salvation and deliverance. “Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits-who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases and redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and kindness”. Psalm 103:2-3 (NIV) Our Heavenly Father is so gracious and loving that mere human words cannot describe his goodness and mercy.

During my times of worship, whether sitting quietly mediating on the Word or clamorously singing his praises I am often overwhelmed and brought to tears. His presence fills the room and He lavishly showers me with love. It is at those intimate times that I realize that Father God loves me unconditionally with a reckless abandonment and my only response to Him is passionate undignified praise and worship. This to me is pure worship and I invite to join in worshiping God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Halleluiah!!
