We believe that God is going to call you here to intercede as watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem in a new fresh way after this morning – so let’s ask the Lord to speak to each one of us.

Father we just thank you for this opportunity that we have together this morning to listen to you. We want to hear from you, Lord. We want to hear your Holy Spirit. Speak into every person’s life – Lord begin to reveal to us things we have never seen before! Father, I just invite the presence of the Holy Spirit to come with wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of the Messiah! Just pour it upon us Lord! Give me the words to speak and give everyone ears to hear. In Jesus’ Name! Amen! Hallelujah!

I want us to go to the book of the Ephesians, chapter 3. I’m going to speak on the restoration of the prophetic office in the last days to prepare the way of the Lord. Verse 1 “For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles” – I think it’s really important to stop here and think about who Paul really was. Paul was a Pharisee of Pharisees! A Hebrew of Hebrews! A Jew of Jews if you want to call it that way, a really, very zealous Jewish person.

I would imagine that before his salvation experience he probably did not have too high regards for Gentile people. But, God did a very dramatic thing in his life! When he got saved on the road to Damascus, I’m sure that his first desire was to go back to Jerusalem and to share with his friends and his own people that he has found the Messiah. It also tells us that he actually came back to Jerusalem shortly after his conversion and prayed in the temple. And when he was praying in the temple – Jesus appeared to him. He saw the Lord. The Lord spoke to him and said, “Paul, quickly leave this city! They are not going to receive your testimony about me in this place.” But Paul begins to object, “But Lord everyone here in the city knows me, they know that I have been trained by the best rabbis, that I have been the most zealous of all of them. If they should listen to anyone – this is what he is trying to tell the Lord –if they should listen to anyone they must listen to me!” “NO!,” Jesus says, “Go, I’m sending you far away – to the Gentiles!”

Can you imagine the sword that pierced his heart? God tells him, “I’m not going to give you a ministry here in Jerusalem, like you wanted to, I’m sending you far away to the Gentiles.” And so Paul really obeyed the call, he laid down his life. The one – that never had any fellowship with Gentiles ever before – he now laid down his life for us. So he said here: “I, Paul the prisoner for Christ Jesus!” Of course he was in prison; but he was foremost the Lord’s prisoner – “for the sake of you Gentiles!” I think you should appreciate that he laid down his life, so zealously for us.

Verse 2, “Surely you heard about the administration of God’s grace that was given to me for you…,” Paul introduces himself in other places as “the Apostle to the Gentiles.” He is the very prototype; he is the pattern for apostolic ministry in the nations. He is the apostle to the Gentiles. He is the pattern for the harvest; really this apostolic anointing that is going to come in the last days to reap the mighty harvest in the Earth. Paul is the pattern for that!

Let’s read on in verse 3, “that is the mystery” – this grace was given to him for us – “this is the mystery made known to me by revelation as I have already written briefly.” What he is referring to here is chapter 2 verse 11 and to the end of the chapter primarily, where he begins to speak about of this ministry, how we, who are Gentiles by birth, “and called uncircumcised by those who call themselves “the circumcision” “remember that at that time you were separated from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.” We were totally lost, we had no covenant with God, whatsoever, we had no covenant promises made with God. All of those covenant promises were given to the Jewish people, they were given to Israel. We were far away but it says in verse 13 “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ.” Then he goes on to speak about the one new man. It says in verse 19 “Consequently, you” – he is talking about us Gentiles, by birth “you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizen with God’ people” We have been grafted into the commonwealth of Israel, the people of God that had received all the promises and the covenants from God.

We have to realize that both covenants, both, the old and the new covenant belong to Israel, they were given to them. I spoke to somebody who had many years of theological training a number of years ago and I said that most Christians think that the old covenant was given to the Jews and the new covenant has been given to the church. He nodded and thought, “What else, go on to what you want to say!” I said, “Wrong – that’s not right! At least in my Bible it says in the book of Hebrews,” ‘”behold the days are coming when I will make a new covenant with “- the Church- No! “With the house of Israel and with the house of Judah!”‘ Not like the covenant I made with your fathers, a new covenant!

That is the new covenant that we have come into through faith in Jesus Christ. We have been incorporated into the people of God, into the family of God. And this was the revelation that was given to Paul more clearly than to anyone else of the apostles. He saw this in a dramatic way. God poured His Grace out upon him for the sake of us, so he ran with this message with the happy news that the Gentiles could be incorporated into the promises given to Israel; that we could be included into the family of God! That is the New Testament perspective of the church! But I’m getting ahead of myself here.

I love this verse 19. “Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizen with God’s people.” Which people is that? – The Jews! – “and members of God’s household.” – God’s family – “built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.” In those days they didn’t have blueprints, they built a chief cornerstone, which became the pattern of the entire building, both walls going this way, and walls going that way. Christ Jesus is the chief cornerstone, – joining together both Jews and Gentiles – “In Him the whole building is held together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord”, verse 22 “And in him you too are build together to become a dwelling place in which God lives by his Spirit.” This is the end time house, that God is building, joining Jews and Gentiles together in the Messiah Jesus.

And when this building begins to be raised up there is going to be an indwelling of God’s presence in that building in a very special way when Jew and Gentile are joined together. This is what Paul refers to in chapter 3 verse 4 “In reading this, then you would be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ”, or I would like to say the mystery of Messiah. In chapter 1, Paul prayed for the believers that they would have the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of the Messiah. This is an awesome thing how we have become one body in Him! Together, both Jews and Gentiles! This is what he is referring to.

Then Paul says in verse 5, “which was not made known to men in other generations as it has now been revealed by the spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets”. I want to stop here and just say this: The revelation that Paul had, which had not been revealed in earlier generations, about how Jews and Gentiles could be one in the Messiah – is a revelation that has been lost in the church, since the early church. This is the revelation that is now once again being restored to God’s holy apostles and prophets in order to raise up this building that is going to house the Glory of God.

It says in verse 6 “This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heir together with Israel, members together with Israel, members together of one body, and shares together in the promise in Christ Jesus” The mystery of Christ is that Gentiles are heirs together with Israel. We have one destiny with the Jewish people!

You know the story of Ruth, how she followed her mother-in-law Naomi. Ruth was a Gentile; she came from the land of Moab. She came from a people that, according to the law, not even a person in a tenth generation from the people of Moab was allowed to be included into assembly of God’s people. But Ruth was a first generation Moabite and yet she was in grafted into the family of God. She married one of Naomi’s sons and became part of the family, because Naomi went into a foreign land and ended up Moab. It says that through the Jewish people’s transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles. That happened to Ruth. She became in grafted into the family of God and when Naomi went back to her own land, because God had once again begun to visit Bethlehem, to provide bread, then Ruth went with her. And she made the confession, “your people shall be my people, your God shall be my God, where you go, I will go.”

You see the destiny that Ruth understood was upon Naomi and her people was the destiny she chose, to link herself with. When Jesus comes back, He is going to return as head of the church and the Messiah of Israel in one and the same person. We have had an eschatology that has separated these things, for such a long time. First we thought that God has replaced Israel, Israel has no more future – they have ended in their calling and we have taken their place. But shortly after reformation, this changed, we began to read the Bible again in our own languages and we saw that this was not true. God will still do something powerful to the nation of Israel. But, we put Israel over there and the church over here. We said that God has a plan for Israel; we need to bless Israel and all of those things. But we are over here. No, that is an incorrect perspective! God has a plan of joining us together! That is the apostolic, prophetic revelation that is going to lay the foundation for the last days’ overcoming church! This is the church that is going to be able to provoke Israel into jealousy and that is going to be able to reap the mighty harvest in the last days.

There is a purpose for the harvest that has to do with Israel and if we do not have that revelation, God is not going to pour out the anointing that will enable us reap that harvest. There is much to say about that, but it is not really my subject here this morning. I’m talking now about the prophetic that is going to be raised up in the last days to join Jew and Gentile together, because this end time house is going to be built on the foundation of both the apostles and the prophets.

God is once again pouring out this revelation that has been hidden, also now for several generations. It is being poured out to God’s holy apostles and prophets. Now, I believe that Elijah, Elijah the prophet, stands as the very pattern for the prophetic ministry. You know we have the promise in Malachi Chapter 4, the last verses in the Old Testament, in our Bibles, verses 5 and 6, “See, I will send you the prophet Elijah,” in other versions it reads, “Elijah the prophet”. So, it is this ministry of Elijah, which is I believe, the pattern for the prophetic ministry that is going to prepare the day of the Lord. “…I will send you the prophet Elijah before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes.”

We have to understand that when Jesus came the first time, it was not the great and dreadful day of the Lord. He came as the Lamb of God to take upon Himself the sins of the world. So, it was the beginning of the acceptable year of the Lord. So this promise is primarily reserved for the last days. It was partly fulfilled in the ministry of John the Baptist, when he came to prepare the way of the Lord, when he came the first time. If we look here in this passage, we will see that, verse 6, he is going to do this. “He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers or else I will come and strike the land with a curse.”

Let me begin here with the end of this verse first. In all of the English translations I have looked at, it says that if Elijah doesn’t come to do this, God will strike the earth or the land, it’s the same word in the Hebrew, with a curse. That sounds like maybe there will be a bad harvest or some other bad things happen, but those things are not too bad. But actually, the very meaning of this word in Hebrew here means “total destruction,” “complete annihilation.” There will be nothing left! It’s the same word that was used about Jericho, which was given over to destruction. Achan took some of the “accursed things,” some of the things that God had given over to be destroyed. That is the word that is being used here in Malachi.

If Elijah doesn’t come, if that prophetic ministry is not restored, there is no hope for the world. Everything is going to be destroyed when God comes to judge the world. So there must be that prophetic ministry, raised up to prepare that day. And the way it is going to be prepared is by turning the heart of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to the fathers.

I know that God is very concerned for the family. He is very clear on that. It is very dear to God’s heart. But this is talking about God’s own family. You remember in Ephesians 2, we read that we are not longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household. Household is an old word for family. We are members together of God’s family. This is clearly speaking about the uniting of the fathers, meaning the nation of Israel, the people of Israel that gave birth to the church, and the children, which is the new covenant people that was born out from the nation of Israel. Elijah is going to come and he is going to restore and heal that bridge – that gap – that is between Israel and the church. The church is going to be built up on this foundation that we have been joined with Israel, to inherit the promises given to them through the Messiah! Hallelujah!

So this is very powerful. We are going to see a reuniting, where Paul said that salvation has come to the Gentiles in order to provoke Israel to jealousy. In other words: there is going to be a work done in the church, in the nations, that will be so powerful, that eventually the nation of Israel is going to be jealous over us. Now I tell you, you cannot be jealous over someone that hates you. You cannot be jealous of someone that rejects you, that persecutes you, that says you have no longer any future. We have taken your promises and if you want to have any of those you need to join us. That is something that has to be taken up by the roots, in the church.

There is going to have to be a deep repentance in the church before we can fulfill our destiny to provoke the nation of Israel to jealousy. Their hearts are going to begin to turn towards us, because of the mighty works of grace that God is going to do, in the church, in the last days. Hallelujah! But that is going to require such deep repentance in the church! That is part of the prophetic ministry, to bring about that repentance in the church because God is going to have a people ready for the Lord, a people that have been united with the fathers.

The first time I ever heard somebody speak about Israel in a way that seemed relevant to me, that it concerned me and had something to do with me, I thought, “What is this he saying?” Israel is not something that I have anything to do with. We are going to be taken out, raptured away. And when we have left this earth – then God is going to turn to Israel. He is going to save them all in one day, all by Himself. I have nothing to do with that. Jesus is going to come to take us up. We will be in heaven, somewhere. Then eventually he going to come to Jerusalem too. And, poor Jesus, maybe He will be one day in heaven together with us having a good time with His bride and then He will say, “Now, tomorrow is Sabbath, I need to go down to Jerusalem and be with my people, the Jewish people and on Sunday of course I will be back up again and we can have a good time.”

No, it’s not going to be that way of polarization. You know this is enormous! God made a covenant with Abraham and his descendants, that they would be a blessing to the entire earth. The mystery of Messiah is that through the gospel we are a part of these people. And the church is going to have their eyes opened to this calling and to this destiny we have together with Israel – in a very dramatic and powerful and very deep way in order for us to fulfill our calling. Hallelujah!

And this is going to come through the prophetic office that is going to open the eyes of the church. Let me tell you this. The veil over Israel is not going to break until the veil over the church will break first over these issues. This is what the prophetic ministry is going to do. And then the apostolic ministry is going to come and be anointed to reap the harvest. You are always an apostle to something for example, the apostle to the Gentiles, the apostle to the nations for the purpose to gather in the harvest. And that harvest has a very important role to play in Israel’s salvation. I believe we are going to see deeper restoration of these offices, which we have not seen yet fully. It is going to take place before the church can be ready to fulfill its destiny.

It’s interesting to know, that when John the Baptist came, it says in Luke Chapter 1 verse 16, “many of the people of Israel will he bring back to the Lord their God.” It is a very special relationship to the prophetic ministry to bring Israel to the Lord. Verse 17, “And He will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous—to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.” Do you see something here in this verse? It doesn’t say anything about turning the hearts of the children to the fathers. It only speaks about the first half of Elijah’s ministry: to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children! Why?

Because! Through his ministry, the foundation was laid for the church to be born out from the nation Israel. It just came about; and they had nothing to repent of! He was just turning many in Israel to the children that came into the kingdom through the preaching of John the Baptist and of Jesus. But in the last days we are going to see the full ministry of Elijah. There will not only be a turning of the hearts of the fathers to the children, but there is going to be this ministry of turning the hearts of the children. The church is going to begin to long and ache for our roots for the people we have come out from, who have given us everything that belongs to our salvation. Jesus said that salvation is from the Jews, this bible that we preach form has been written by Jews, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit of course. But the very words of God have come to us through the Jewish people. And of course Jesus was born a Jew. And he still is a Jew! We don’t realize that, but we need to have a deeper revelation of the mystery in the knowledge of Christ – in the mystery of Christ – in the knowledge of Him, who he truly is.

I remember when God put on my heart to write this Passover celebration, which we just aired from the old city in Jerusalem world wide on television. I had never actually celebrated a “Jewish Passover” by myself but God began to stir me to encourage the church to have a deeper understanding of the new covenant and the roots of our faith in the Jewish Passover Seder meal. And I wrote, I spent many nights, staying up late and writing on this very issue and I felt if it was the last thing I did, I wanted to finish that job. Well, that night I was going to bed very late and I was tired and was not thinking about anything spiritually in particular, but I just heard this voice behind me saying “Thank You”. I was startled. Jesus said, “Thank you for helping me to restore my true identity!” Because I have been known as a Gentile God – for so many hundreds of years. But I’m longing to be revealed for who I truly am! The messiah of my people! You see, he came as Jew. The gospel has been preached throughout the world, coming out from the Jewish people. And you know what else; the church began among the Jewish people.

The church is Jewish. That is a little frightening sometimes when I speak in churches, it’s like we have nothing left. Everything has come from them. What do we have to boast of? Nothing really but a great huge debt to the Jewish people that God is requiring us to pay back. And we are going to do it. It is going to be a turning of the hearts together, just like it was with Ruth. She returned with Naomi, her mother-in-law. And if you read the story, it is very clear that Ruth had a revelation. She had faith. She knew what she was doing. She was committing her very life to this issue. She said to Naomi, “God will have to judge me now and for ever if anything but death will separate me from you.” And Naomi was like OK! Why do you want to hang around me for? She did not have any faith. She was returning to Bethlehem and she said, don’t call me Naomi, which means “pleasant”. Call me Mara, which means “bitter”, because the Lord’s hand has been heavy against me. I’m going back home because there is bread now again. But I don’t have any real hope, I have no faith.

But Ruth had faith. And she committed to her mother-in-law. And because of Ruth’s faithful service in the harvest field, it brought back a blessing to her mother-in-law.

Naomi eventually was restored back to faith. It is very interesting, it says in the book of Ruth, if you go there with me. I think it is so powerful. In the end the of chapter 1 in verse 22, it says, “so Naomi returned from Moab accompanied by Ruth the Moabites, her daughter-in-law, arriving in Bethlehem as the barley harvest was beginning.” Now it starts! You know the restoration of the people of God back to their own land has been the season on an unparalleled harvest in church history. It goes together. So Ruth and Naomi, they come back as the harvest really begins. Then Ruth goes out into the harvest field, she begins to work and she, ends up on the field of Boaz – the Lord of the harvest, who happens to be a close kin to Naomi! And the first day she comes back from her work and Naomi is like, “where have you been today?” “From where have you received this great blessing?” She is really getting stirred. She is interested. And Ruth says, “Well, I have been on a field belonging to a man named Boaz!” “Boaz”? “Do you know he is one of our close relatives?” Alright! Interesting! And so goes Ruth back into the harvest again day after day. And it says that she stayed with her mother-in-law until the whole harvest had been reaped.

You see, “I don’t want you to be ignorant of this mystery”, Paul writes, “that the hardening in part happened to Israel until the full harvest, until the fullness of the gentiles has come in” and notice it says, and then it says: “so, in that way through the harvest being reaped all Israel shall be saved”. Notice what it says in the Book of Ruth, right after – let’s read the last verse in chapter 2, verse 23, “So Ruth stayed close to the servant girls of Boaz to glean until the barley and wheat harvest were finished. And she lived with her mother-in-law.” Every day she came home from the harvest field with more and more blessing that softened up that bitter and unbelieving heart of Naomi. And you know, she received all of these blessings.

You have to go back and see. Ruth actually asked Boaz, “Why do you give me this great favor. I’m a foreigner here. Why have you treated me this way?” Boaz answered immediately, “I have been told about everything you have done to your mother-in-law. Stay here girl! You can have everything you want on this field. Because Ruth was willing to serve the mother-in-law, Boaz gave her favor in the harvest. And then when it was fully reaped, immediately it says in chapter 3:1, “One day Naomi her mother-in-law said to her,” the one that said to her before, don’t go with me, I have nothing to give to you, go back to your people because I cannot provide anything for you, now Naomi – she has faith! And she says to Ruth, “Let me talk to you a little bit. Listen to me! I’m going to tell you something. Tonight, that Boaz is going to go down to the threshing floor!” “Oh really?” “Yes, and I want you to go there!” “OK” “And then I want you to do this, and then he is going to do that, and then you say that, and then you just watch what will happen.” “Wow, I will exactly do as you tell me!” Ruth says.

And of course Ruth and Boaz end up being married. Naomi, she now has been provoked to jealousy and her heart has been stirred up and she has come to faith. She believes now, she sees the hand of God, because the goodness of God is coming to her through Ruth. What does it say in Romans 11? “So they”, meaning the Jewish people, “have now been disobedient” – and it’s not like the church has been teaching and we have thought for many years they have been disobedient in order to get what they deserve! Yeah, they rejected Jesus; they don’t deserve anything but judgment. Can they even come back to their own land? They don’t deserve it, they don’t believe in Jesus yet! No! “They have been disobedient in order that they too may receive mercy.”(31)

God has a plan of MERCY for his people. And then the amazing thing is that it says – how it’s going to happen! They too are now are going to receive mercy as a RESULT of God’s mercy to you! God’s mercy is going to be poured out upon the church that is willing to serve the Jewish people in the last days! And they are going be able to reap the harvest; they are going to be so full of the grace of God that they are going to be able to restore God’s own people back to faith. God has a plan! Hallelujah! To use the church to provoke them to jealousy! To restore mercy to His own people! I believe actually before this is over, I think that the body of Christ probably are going to be responsible for the entire economy of Israel. Praise God!

That means, there must some millionaires to be raised up (ha, ha) No, anyway, Romans 15, it says in verse 26 “For Macedonia and Achaia were pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem. They were pleased to do it, and indeed they owe it to them. For, if the Gentiles have shared in the Jew’s spiritual blessing, they owe it to the Jews to share with them their material blessings.” The only reason that Israel today is giving up parts of their inheritance is because – this nation here today (the United States) is the only nation in the world that still has friendship to Israel. But they have a knife on their throat, it’s a nine billion dollar loan – because Israel is about to go under financially, so they are totally at the mercy of this nation today.

That’s why they are saying, “This money, you know that you need, we have something else also called “the roadmap” here. And all Israel can say is, “Alright! Yes sir!” God is not going to let it stay like that! We have a debt to pay back to them. They have given us their spiritual blessing. We have an obligation to share with them our material blessings. Do you know that this was such an important part of Paul’s ministry? I didn’t realize that until I studied these things, how important this was for Paul. Right in this very context here for instance in Romans 15, it says if you read in verse 23, he has just described his apostolic ministry, and how he has preached the gospel everywhere from Jerusalem and all the areas around there but then it says in verse 23, “But now that there is no more place for me to work in these regions, and since I have been longing for many years to see you.” In chapter 1 Paul says, I have been praying many times that I would be able to come also to you in Rome, but I have been hindered up until now, I have not been able to reach you yet. But I have been praying and longing to extend my ministry to the very capital of the empire and even beyond. And now he is ready to do that but then it says in verse 24, “I plan to do so when I got to Spain. I hope to visit you while passing through and to have you assist me on my journey there, after I have enjoyed your company for a while. Now, however, I am on my way to Jerusalem”, in other words Paul is saying, let’s read on there, “in service of the saints there.” In other words there, before I can reach further out here in my ministry, I must first fulfill my obligation to my own people in Jerusalem. Collection Money! And he says in verse 28, “So after I have completed this task and have made sure that they have received this fruit.” Paul believed that was important to him. …”I will go to Spain and visit you on the way. I know that when I come to you, I will come in the full measure of the blessing of Christ.” (end 29) When I have fulfilled this obligation in Jerusalem, I’m going to extend my ministry with a support and back up of the Lord of the harvest in its fullness.

That is a powerful revelation. He made it a RULE in the churches that every week, on the first day of every week every member should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income, to be collected by him and given to God’s people in Jerusalem. You read in Galatians chapter 2, where Paul says that after 14 years of my ministry, I went up to Jerusalem, once again, because of a revelation. And I placed it before the leaders there the gospel that I preached – for the FEAR that I have been running or was running in vain. Thousands of people multitudes were saved, churches being formed and Paul still said, I must go up to Jerusalem and make sure that I’m not doing this in vain. Why? There is a purpose for the harvest to serve his own people, the Jews. And if he was out of sync with that, he knew that a purpose would be lost.

So he presented to them the gospel that he preached and he said, “well actually they had nothing to object – not even my fellow servant Titus, who was a Greek, had to be circumcised. We understand God had blessed you to reach the Gentiles and we extend the right hand of fellowship to you. God bless you!” Only this they said, “that we should continue to remember the poor!” That is the only thing they said. Just continue to pour in a blessing here. Because the poor they were talking about, they were – you have to understand – the poor in Jerusalem, in Israel, in Judea. Because that’s how the church among the Gentiles began in Antioch. Right after it was established; a prophet came there and said. It’s going to be a famine in the entire world. What will you do about it? Well, we have to make sure our members are taken care of here. No, they said, “then, we decided, each according to his ability to collect money and give to our brothers in Judea.” And that’s why they sent these monies with Paul and Barnabas and they came to Jerusalem. And now the leaders there said to Paul, when he came14 years later, “Just continue to remember the poor and God is going to be with you in your service Paul. God bless you!” And Paul said, “This is the very thing that I have been eager to do!”

God opened my eyes to this, just a year ago, while I was preaching I saw it. It is going to be a key to the end time harvest. The Lord of the harvest is not just going to trust that harvest to people who were not moving in that revelation and willing to use that harvest to become a blessing to His own people. Paul knew it too. Before he could go on in his ministry, he had to fulfill this obligation, just like Ruth was doing. Because the Jews require a sign, it says.

It has been amazing to be seeing this past year, it has been a year of such an outpouring of rain in Israel! The Sea of Galilee rose 14 feet. It has never rained like this since the days when the nation was born. It is also paralleling directly in the spirit. We have never seen so many people come to faith as this year. But you know, we have been watching on the Golan Heights where all this water is coming down from the hills into the Jordan River.

Every weekend the Jewish families have come from all over the land and parked the cars along the high ways just to stand there with their children and watch the river. All day! Taking their camcorders and filming it. They just want to see it. God is doing something! This is something they can relate to. There was a Jewish rabbi, he said to a large gathering of Christian leaders in Jerusalem a number of years ago, “I want to give you an advice. We have heard it! For 2000 years we have heard it! We want to see it! God bless you!” And then he sat down. “If you are willing to live this message about the love of Christ, well, show us – and I believe my people will respond better to that.” I believe this is what he was saying. We have an obligation!

Now the prophetic ministry is going to be raised up. We are talking about the restoration of the prophetic office and Elijah being the pattern of this, I will send THE prophet Elijah; he is going to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, the hearts of the children to their fathers. If that doesn’t happen, if the Jews and the church don’t get it together, there is no future for this world! Because the promises belongs to Israel. That’s what it says in Romans 9:4! We should not be ignorant of the devil’s schemes. Do you know what the devil is saying today? He is saying, I cannot kill the whole world, but I believe I can handle 14/15 million Jews. And he is saying, if I can kill them all, then God has not fulfilled his promises to them, so then he is a liar, he is a looser and I have won.

I live just few miles, 5 or 6 miles from the border from Lebanon, where the leader of the most advanced terrorist group in the world, the Hez´bollah is! They have about 10,000 rockets and missiles right now ready to go, to be poured out over Israel! And their leader Hassan Nazrallah said earlier, “It’s ok if the Christians in America help the Jews come back to Israel, it makes the job easier for us. When we want to kill them all, we don’t have to chase them down where ever they are.” And, so the devil wants the Jewish people to be erased. Because – if he can erase them – then the promises of God have not been fulfilled. That’s how simple it is. And that’s how practical and how determined and how specific the devil in his schemes today is. He wants that landing strip for heaven occupied which is Jerusalem. He is says, if I can keep the landing strip occupied – then Jesus has to remain in heaven – he cannot return and I can still be the god of this age.

The president of this nation is just about to supply that demand from the enemy, by giving away Jerusalem so that Jews can’t come there. See the devil wants Jerusalem away from the Jewish people and he wants Jesus away from the Jewish people. But Elijah, what did he do on the mountain before the people fell on their knees and cried out to the Lord, “The Lord – He is God?” It says that he restored or repaired the altar of the Lord. This has to do with the people of God. Actually the very word being used there, about repairing the altar of the Lord is the word in Hebrew, which means, “healing”. He healed the altar of the Lord that was in ruins. What was this altar? Well, he took 12 stones, as many as the tribes of Israel and he put them together into one altar. You see at that time, the 10 tribes in the North were disconnected from Jerusalem. They were at war with Judah and Benjamin. That could not be.

So Elijah repaired, he restored that altar where the whole family of God came together! And it was on that restored altar of a unity between Jew and Gentile that the fire could fall from heaven that provoked the people to jealousy. To have their eyes opened, to see the Lord Yeshua, who is the messiah! Before the church can heal that relationship with the Jewish people, they will never recognize who their messiah is. And then there is no hope for the world. There was a rabbi, who said in a debate a few years ago with my friend Dr. Brown. “I could take a boat tonight and row in the pool of blood of my people that have been killed by you Christians in the name of Jesus, and you think that I should believe he is the messiah! How crazy can you get?” Well it is far away for it? You remember what Elijah did? Before the fire fell, he poured water upon it, lots of water, to make it impossible in the natural for this fire to fall. This was to encourage us, that this is impossible in the natural. But there is going to come a power from heaven that is stronger than anything else. It is going to overcome all of those things of 2000 years of church history! We have been on the wrong foundation.

The first church council of Nicea in 325, the first time, since the first church council in Jerusalem, which was actually the first church council, but we don’t call it the first church council, do we? No, that was not really the church – is what we have been told. That was something else. Of course – the pastor healed the sick, he just passed by and through his shadow people were healed, but that was not really a Christian church yet. So we leave that out and say the first council was in Nicea. Do you know how the church council in Nicea was established? It was established in diametrical opposition to the Jewish people! It was established clearly so that the church would have nothing to do with the Jewish people. This is what it says in a letter that Constantine wrote,

“It seems to everyone” he is talking to all the bishops gathered there, “a most unworthy thing that we should follow the custom of the Jews.” he is talking about the Passover, “in the celebration of this most holy solemnity. “Those polluted wretches, who have stained their hand with a nefarious crime, have been justly blinded in their mind. It is fit therefore that rejecting the practices of these people we should perpetuate to all future ages the celebration of this rite in a more legitimate order – let us have nothing then in common with the most hostile rebel of the Jews. In pursuing this course we will unanimous consent – let us withdraw ourselves from that most odious fellowship. It is necessary that this fault should be so amended that we may have nothing in common with the uses of this parasites and murders of the Lord.”

And here it says also, “but if what I said should not thought sufficient – it belongs to you by ready discernment both by diligence and prayer that the purity of your minds may not be affected by a conformity in anything with the customs of the vilest of mankind.” (Referring to the Jewish people)

This is how the church was established now, when it was independent and on its own – that was in a total rejection of the Jewish people. This foundation has still not been challenged; it has not been up rooted. Every plant that is not planted by the father must be plucked up. And the church is going be founded again upon its apostolic Jewish foundation. That is what Elijah did when he repaired that alter – the fire fell and the people said the Lord is God. Jesus said Himself, to be sure, — now I am ending, — Matthew 17:11 “Elijah comes and he will restore all things!”

The church is going to be restored, not just to tongues and miracles; it is going to be restored back to its fellowship, its unity with the Jewish people just like when it began in the temple. Every day they meet together in the temple. And they were held in high esteem by all the people. What people? The Jewish people, so it was considered something completely Jewish. Welcome to the family! I tell you the Lord spoke to me just this week, a word of warning to the church. “He said hands off! Let my church come back to the people it started with. You have hijacked the church away from my own people and it is time for that to end.”

You have established something – that is – he came to whom? Not the apostles, the Jewish apostle – he came to those, who he interestingly calls the church fathers. What were they? There were stepfathers; they were false fathers, creating an identity for the church separate from Israel. We have been living under those stepfathers ever since. God is about to restore the church back to its proper foundation — the Jewish, apostolic foundation — out from Jerusalem. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! Thank you Jesus! Let’s stand to our feet. Hallelujah! God said that he would pour out His Spirit upon all flesh in the last days, sons and daughters will prophesy – the prophetic ministry of Elijah is going to be raised up in the last days, calling the church to repentance, regarding its relationship to the Jewish people.

PRAYER OF LARS

Father we just thank you for speaking to us this morning – lift your hands towards the Lord – Hallelujah! Ask the Lord: “Show me how this affects me?” Hallelujah! “Just show me how I can fulfill my destiny! To live according to your pattern and relate to the Jewish people today. Father, teach us! How we should serve your purposes in this generation. We give you all the glory, in Jesus name! Amen!
