Part 1 The Living Tabernacle

By Dick Ruben

A prayer to deliver us from self as we learn this teaching.

Holy Spirit speak to my heart and change me. Deliver me from my arrogance that thinks it knows all truth and from my laziness that is content with only half truth and from my fear that shrinks from new truth.

God’s word says that when I know the truth of  God’s word, it will set me free. I receive your truth, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

Learning about the tabernacle is not a History Lesson; it is about the Pattern of the Lord.  Get the pattern right and the glory will come down.

Acts 7: The church in the wilderness

[35] “This Moses whom they disowned, saying, ‘WHO MADE YOU A RULER AND A JUDGE?’ is the one whom God sent to be both a ruler and a deliverer with the help of the angel who appeared to him in the thorn bush. [36] “This man led them out, performing wonders and signs in the land of Egypt and in the Red Sea and in the wilderness for forty years. [37] “This is the Moses who said to the sons of Israel, ‘GOD WILL RAISE UP FOR YOU A PROPHET LIKE ME FROM YOUR BRETHREN.’ [38] “This is the one who was in the congregation in the wilderness together with the angel who was speaking to him on Mount Sinai, and who was with our fathers; and he received living oracles to pass on to you.

Revivals were in the pattern of the outer court: Repentance, Bronze Altar, and Baptism Laver washing.

God is about more. God does all things by His pattern. The pattern of Tabernacles is the last message to be preached. Check it out and prove everything by scripture. To preach the word, you must preach so a Jew can understand it; remember it is to the Jew first.

He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Remove the sheet that separates the Old and New Testaments, it is one book.

Going from the outer court to the inner court brings us to the Ark of the Covenant, which will bring us understanding of the Tabernacle of David. Another level of worship we have not  yet obtained

You must read the word of God from a place where it is not history, it is reality.

John 4: [46] “For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me. [47] “But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?”

Moses wrote about the tabernacle, which is God’s pattern. We must come back to the pattern.

The Lampstand, the Menorah, and the wicks were trimmed every morning and evening. The trimmings were put in a snuff dish and put outside the camp.

They were trimmed to keep the flame constant.  Yesterday’s fire was no good for today. New glory is needed every day.

You must keep going forward. Those who look back are not fit for the Kingdom. This is a new day.

Tabernacle is white linen walls, 5 cubits high, 100 cubits long, and 50 cubits wide.

Outer court from Moses to Jesus 15,000.

Middle court 2,000.

Inner court 1,000,  where the glory is.

Don’t miss the importance of Mark 6:38.

5 loves and 2 fishes on the hillside.  He sat them down in 50’s and 100’s.

He supernaturally fed them from the hillside. He supernaturally fed us hidden manna from the tabernacle. He separates the tabernacle from the world. We can not see over the fence around the tabernacle.

 5 patterns whereby God reveals Himself;

  1. Through the Tabernacle
  2. Priesthood and Garments
  3. Law of Moses
  4. Sacrificial system
  5. 5 Feast days

What advantages do the Jews have?

1Cor. 10: [10:1] For I do not want you to be unaware, brethren, that our fathers were all under the cloud and all passed through the sea; [2] and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea; [3] and all ate the same spiritual food; [4] and all drank the same spiritual drink, for they were drinking from a spiritual rock which followed them; and the rock was Christ. [5] Nevertheless, with most of them, God was not well-pleased; for they were laid low in the wilderness.

[6] Now these things happened as examples for us, so that we would not crave evil things as they also craved. [7] Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written, “THE PEOPLE SAT DOWN TO EAT AND DRINK, AND STOOD UP TO PLAY.” [8] Nor let us act immorally, as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in one day. [9] Nor let us try the Lord, as some of them did, and were destroyed by the serpents. [10] Nor grumble, as some of them did, and were destroyed by the destroyer. [11] Now these things happened to them as an example, and they were written for our instruction, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.

These are words that were written for our admonition, the visual helps us remember.

God never does anything for nothing, it is not who is right, it is what is right.

God set the entrance on the east, so when you enter, you turn your back on every other god. You see, the pagans worshiped the sun and faced the east.

Bible verse of the day

No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
