Marching Orders 2025

Blessing for this New Year. This February I will turn 76. That means I have been a believer for 65 years. I was born again and baptized in water at age 11. In my mid-20s during the 1970’s revival, I was baptized in the Holy Spirit. All this to say I have walked through a lot of moves of God. Throughout my walk, I would often hear speakers and friends talk about their life scripture. I have had many prophetic words spoken over me, as direction and confirmation, but none that I ever considered as a life scripture until the middle of 2024.

The scripture I am about to share with you gripped me when I read it in 2024 in a way I had never considered before. I felt strongly that God was giving it importance and that I should meditate on it and take it seriously. Eventually, I realized this was indeed my life verse and it held clear directives for not only me but the body of Christ in this present war season to advance the Kingdom of God.

The actual verse is;

Zacheriah 3:6-7

[6] Then the Angel of the LORD admonished Joshua, saying, [7] “Thus says the LORD of hosts: ‘If you will walk in My ways, And if you will keep My command, Then you shall also judge My house, And likewise have charge of My courts; I will give you places to walk Among these who stand here. NKJV

Let me start my discovery by sharing with you my understanding of the Word of God. I do believe the word of God is alive, powerful, and in part given to us through history in the bible as a picture book to show us the ways and truth of the Lord. To reveal God’s protocol for living a victorious life. Are we not High priests through the work of the cross to fulfill the purposes of God on earth as it is in heaven? Thus, Jesus taught us to pray “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” We know our words are powerful when they agree with God.

Before we unpack the mystery of verse 6 let’s look at the beginning of the chapter to set the stage for verse 6.

[3:1] Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him.

Now we know when God separated the Jewish people unto Himself He declared them to be a kingdom of Priests. Also, remember He created the Jewish people from the existing humanity through one man Abraham.

Exodus 19:6: “Now then, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be My possession among all the peoples, for all the earth is Mine; and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words that you shall speak to the sons of Israel.” In the New Testament after the cross, we find that believers who embrace the work of the cross, both Jews and Gentiles, are now considered of the Melchizedek priesthood. Both priests are in intercession, and kings are in legislative matters of prayer. That gives us an understanding of the Ecclesia today the legislative body of the Kingdom of God on this earth. Please keep in mind the authority of the Ecclesia operates solely by proclaiming God’s word Rhema and Logos in agreement with His Kairos moment of delivery.

Revelation 1:6, states, “And has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory.

So as we read about Joshua with this understanding, God is showing us the priesthood position of the church, which is constantly accused by Satan the accuser of the brethren.

(3) And the LORD said to Satan, “The LORD rebuke you, Satan! The LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?”

This verse gives an important strategy when dealing with the enemy. The same strategy we see in Daniel when he is interceding for the Nation of Israel. The Lord is the rebuker of Satan. In the book of Daniel, we begin to understand the courts of the Lord and His protocol. Daniel is also told not to reveal all things til the appropriate time. I have often thought that the current teachings of the heavenly courts and our authority to legislate through the word of God and through Jesus’ name have come forth in this appropriate time to prepare for His second coming.

[3] Now Joshua .”. was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the Angel.

Here we are as the Lord’s priest clothed in filthy garments. Garments that are washed clean by the blood of the Lamb. The blood that answers more powerfully than any other blood.

[4] Then He answered and spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, “Take away the filthy garments from him.” And to him, He said, “See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes.” [5] And I said, “Let them put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head, and they put the clothes on him. And the Angel of the LORD stood by.

Here I see the work of the cross in our life as God removes our iniquity and reclothes us in His righteousness. Interestingly, He speaks to the angels present to remove the filthy garments. Is it angels or could it be individuals that have judged Joshua that have defiled him? I know God is speaking to the body against judgment. That does not mean we should not have righteous anger against the evil invading our planet through corrupt government.

At any rate, Joshua was refitted with robes of authority and the angles stood by. Over 20 years ago the Lord charged me to learn about how to cooperate with the angles by means of intercession. It is their job to enforce the words we release into the atmosphere to announce God’s will on earth as it is in heaven. God does not stop at giving us righteous garments but also a turban which speaks to me of renewing our mind. However, it also takes our cooperation to read His word and reprogram our ungodly or compromised thoughts.

Psalm 103 [20] Bless the LORD, you His angels, Who excel in strength, who do His word, Heeding the voice of His word. [21] Bless the LORD, all you His hosts, You ministers of His, who do His pleasure.

Now we look at the original scripture that started this article.

I have bolded parts of the scriptures in Exodus and here in Zechariah to show us twice how important those commands are. The scripture Psalm 25:14 tells us,” [14] The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant.

To operate as His legislative body we must be trustworthy enough to receive his secrets and understand, in fullness, His covenant with us and mankind. Verse 6 gives us a clear understanding that to have the ability to operate in the court of the Lord, and co-operate with the Angelic Hosts present in this courtroom scene, we must be fully dependent on walking in His ways and keeping His commandments.

It is my understanding that to walk in His ways is to keep the Sabbath, Rosh Chodesh, and the other Feasts of the Lord with the understanding that they are not a Jewish Feast, but His. These times of appointment are for us. each one has a special blessing. On our website are several articles to gain an understanding of His purposes in our keeping each one. You will also read in my articles that I am not saying to keep them in the tradition of man but by the direction of the Holy Spirit.

His ways are perfect so I encourage you to meditate on verse 7 and hear from Father for your strategy for this season to walk in your authority and partner with the Angels. He has a plan for you through this harvest Season.
